Presentation of IPA Cross-border Co-operation Programme was held in the premises of the Institute. Two projects were presented: Rehabilitation Planning of Bácsalmás-Bajmok Cross-border Connecting Road and Rehabilitation Planning of Tiszasz-Djala Cross-border Connecting Road.
Projects are co-financed by European Union within the IPA Cross-border Co-operation Programme and realisation is supported by Goverment of AP Vojvodina and the Provincial Secretariat of Architecture, Planning and Building.
The presentation was held by the director of the PC Institute for Urban Planning of Vojvodina, Vladimir Zelenović and attended by Deputy Prime Minister of Vojvodina and Provincial Secretary for interregional cooperation Boris Barjaktarović and provincial secretary of Architecture, Planning and Building Dušanka D. Sremački, as well as representatives from Leading partners in the project Nemzeti Infrastructure Fejlesztő Zrt. from Budapest.
Also present were representatives of the municipalities on whose territory the project will be implemented, media representatives and other interested parties.
Director of the Institute, Vladimir Zelenović said that they were encouraged by the good results of participation in two other international projects, so they applied for two IPA Cross-border Co-operation projects. Both projects were accepted and they entered the phase of implementation
The value of the projects is around 820,000 euros. Participation of the Institute, with the help from budget of AP Vojvodina is 120,000 euros, and the EU grant is 700,000 euros.
